The 8th Grade Science EOG will be Tuesday, May 21.
Makeup testing for students who missed Reading and Math testing last week will be Monday, May 20 and Wednesday, May 22.
EOG Score results will be shared with students once all testing is complete for individual students. Report cards for the final 6 week grading period and with final averages for the year will be mailed home after the last day of school.
This week, teachers will begin contacting parents/guardians of students who will be invited to attend summer school to remediate and retest the EOG. Select students will be invited to attend summer school based on their EOG test scores. Students must attend 12 hours (3 days) of remediation prior to each retest on the 4th day. Some students may be invited to retake more than one retest. Summer school hours are 8:00-12:00. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:30 am. Bus transportation will be offered. Free breakfast will be offered each day, but we will not be serving lunch. The weeks are summer school are:
Week 1 - May 28 - 31
Week 2 - June 3 - 6
Week 3 - June 10 - 13
Serendipity Snow Cone truck will be here Monday, May 20. Students can purchase Snow Cones for $2 each and will pick theirs up after lunch on Monday. Money should be turned in to their homeroom teacher tomorrow morning.
Rutherford County Middle School Golf Camp will be held July 17 - 18 from 8:00-11:30 daily. This is a FREE camp for rising 6-8th graders enrolled in Rutherford County Schools. To sign up call Forest City Golf Club at 828-248-5222 and ask for Terry Osteen.
There are limited number of yearbooks still available for $35 each. Students may pay Mrs. Cheryl Davis to reserve their copy. We will distribute yearbooks and have signing opportunities on Wednesday, May 22.

Friday, May 24 @ 8:00 am - 8th Grade Awards
The last day of school for this school year is Friday, May 24. Students will dismiss at 11:45 on the last day.
