The high school registration process will begin this week with an overview of the courses and explanation of the process with all 8th graders. Representatives from East High will be at East Middle on Monday, March 25 for individual registration sessions.
8th graders will learn about a summer opportunity that will give them a Jump Start into high school. Jump Start is a 2-week program from July 8th - July 19th that focuses on preparing your student for this transition. Find the link on the erms.rcsnc.org webpage for JumpStart to learn more about the program and apply. Applications will be accepted until March 28th.
Serendipity Snow Cone truck will be here Thursday, March 21. Students can purchase Snow Cones for $2 each and will pick theirs up after lunch on Thursday. Money should be turned in to their homeroom teacher by Thursday of this week.
Yearbooks continue to be for sale for $35 each. These can be purchased through your child's homeroom teacher.
NC Checkin Testing will take place this week. Please encourage your child to do their best, be on time each day, and come in with their iPad fully charged. We will test on the following schedule:

GEAR UP will be hosting the March College Quest Event, scheduled to take place on March 27th, 2024, at 6:00 PM in the East Rutherford Middle School Cafeteria. This event promises to be an engaging and informative opportunity for both you and your child to explore the exciting world of higher education together. Trivia will be played to test your knowledge of colleges and universities. As well as learn about upcoming GEAR UP events. We hope you come and enjoy this fun event with your child.
