Students will take the NC Checkin assessments in math, reading, and science (8th grade only) this week. These are tests that help us to understand student progress toward learning standards taught so far. Please encourage your child to be on time for school and to do his/her best on the test. The NC Checkin schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, February 7 - 6th and 8th Grade Reading
Thursday, February 8 - 7th Grade Math / 8th Grade Science
Friday, February 9 - 6th and 8th Grade Math
Eighth graders interested in applying for REaCH High School can find out more about REaCH and how to apply at https://bit.ly/apply2REaCH Family interest meetings will be held in person at ICC Library Auditorium on February 6 and 7 at 5:45. A virtual session via Zoom will be held February 8 at 7:00pm. The deadline to apply for REaCH is February 23.

The ERMS Beta Club is selling Valentine Grams (Cards and Candy) for $1. All purchases will be delivered on Valentine's Day.
It will again be ERMS night at Forest City Fish Camp on Tuesday, February 6 from 4:00-9:00. A portion of the sales that night will go to support the ERMS Band.
Looking Ahead:
There will be a Student Social on Thursday, February 15 from 3:00-5:00. Admission will be $5 and tickets will be sold beginning Monday, February 12. There will be music, snacks, time to be with friends, and the chance for students to compete in a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. In order to be eligible to attend, students must not have any full days in In-School Suspension or Out of School suspension from January 10 until the date of the event.
