NC Checkin assessments will be conducted this week. These tests help us to know what your students have learned in Reading, Math, and Science (8th grade only) so far this year. Please encourage your child to his/her best and to come to school with their iPad fully charged each day. Below is the NC Checkin schedule:
Tuesday, November 14 - 7th Grade Reading
Wednesday, November 15 - 6th and 8th Grade Reading
Thursday, November 16 - 7th Grade Math and 8th Grade Science
Friday, November 17 - 6th and 8th Grade Math
Serendipity Snow Cone truck will be here Thursday, November 16. Students can purchase Snow Cones for $2 each and will pick theirs up after lunch on Thursday. Money should be turned in to their homeroom teacher by Thursday of this week.
On Friday, November 17, 7th graders will be traveling to Isothermal Community College for the McNair "College Knowledge Expo." The trip will be from 10:00-12:30. Students must have a signed permission form to attend.
GEAR UP will be having an 8th grade parent night on Thursday, November 16, from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM. 8th grade parents and students will be able to learn about college admissions requirements, financial aid resources, and upcoming 8th grade GEAR UP field trips. This event will be at the Rutherford County Schools Cool Springs District Office and will be open to both students and families.
The ERMS Beta Club is sponsoring a Canned Food Drive to support local families in need. Please consider donating non-perishable food items between November 13 - 21. The top homeroom in each grade level will be the winner of the "Golden Plunger" award.
2023-2024 Yearbook and Ad sales are going on now. The deadline to purchase an ad in the yearbook is December 21, 2023. Visit www.buytheyearbook.com for more information.

Looking Ahead:
We will have a Winter Wonderland Dance on Thursday, December 14 from 3:00-4:30. Tickets will be $5 each and will be sold closer to the date of the dance. Any student who has a full day of In School Suspension (ISS) or Out of School Suspension will not be eligible to attend the dance.
There will be NO School next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday November 22, 23, 24 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.
