Good evening, East Rutherford Middle School students and families. We hope you had a wonderful weekend and happy 2020! Our students and teachers are working extremely hard at East Rutherford Middle School and the first week of 2020 was amazing. Please take some time to ask your child questions about his or her assignments and grades. The end of the six weeks is almost over. This is a good time to have your child open his or her Canvas account and show you what has been completed or needs to be turned in. Homework Help will take place after school from 3:00 - 4:00 Tuesday through Thursday.
This week we are celebrating our students with spirit week!
Clubs - Quizbowl will practice after school from 3:00 - 4:00 on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Anime Club will meet after school from 3:00 - 4:15 on Wednesday. We will not have GeoBee this week.
Girls and Boys Basketball team will play two home games this week. On Tuesday, January 14th we will host Chase Middle School at 4:15 and on Thursday, January 16th we will host RS Middle. Please plan to stay after school and cheer on our team. We will also have a pep rally on Thursday in the gym at 2:15.
8th grade students in Mrs. Toney’s Math I 1st CORE will take their Math I EOC on Thursday, January 16th at 8:00 AM. If you are in Mrs. Toney’s 1st CORE please make sure you are on time and have your iPad charged.
We will sell popcorn on Thursday to support the STARS Team. Popcorn is $1.00
We will have our first dance of the 2020 year on Friday, January 17th. Please plan to stay after school from 3:00 - 5:00. We can’t wait to see your dance moves and have some fun with you. The cost of the dance is $5.00 and you can purchase your dance ticket at lunch on Friday. We will have pizza, icies and lots of snacks for sale.
