School Bus Information

Expectations and Consequences for Misbehavior

Riding the school bus is a privilege for students.  Students are expected to follow the same behavioral standards while riding the school bus that are expected on school property or at school activities or events.  All school rules are in full effect while a student is riding the bus or waiting at a bus stop.


Bus Rules

Immediately follow the directions of the bus driver and all rules of the bus.

Sit in your seat facing forward while the bus is moving.  Stay in your seat unless exiting the bus.

Talk quietly.  Absolutely NO foul language or gestures.

Keep head and arms inside the bus at all times.

Keep your arms, legs and objects to yourself. Do not throw objects.

Do not destroy bus property.

No eating or drinking on the bus.

No laptops out on the bus.  Must take headphones/earbuds out when exiting the bus.

1st

Verbal Warning to student by driver

2nd

Call/Written Warning to student/parent/guardian by administrator; note must be returned with parent signature and possibly moving assigned seat.

 

3rd

1-3 day School Day Suspension from riding the bus; administrator will call parent.

 

4th

3-5 day School Day Suspension from riding the bus; administrator will call parent.

5th

5-10 day School Day Suspension from riding the bus; administrator will call parent.

6th

10-20 day School Day Suspension from riding the bus; administrator will call parent.

 7th

Suspended from riding the bus for the remainder of the school year.
